The eee pcs have been said to be very durable and dependable despite its seemingly plasticky finish, small size, etc., despite of this, some commentaries go on to say that they are more like children's laptops and even go so low as to say it serves only as a secondary laptop with very limited capabilities at best. However it seems the little critters can more than hold their own in even the harshest conditions as shown in a couple of instances where they were the choice of the following people and seemed to be the right one for the job.
